Writing for Google this day can be so bad and deserve some pity if proper measure is not taken most especially when building backlinks either ethically or unethical because of the constant Google algorithm update just like the recent hummingbird. Instead of writing for search engines mostly Google search engine, it’s preferable to write for your readers who will feel delight in reading and socializing your post with their friends.
So in the post, erase the mind of learning what SEO is all about but for full knowledge about blog SEO endeavour to read through the following SEO post.
What you need to know about Off-page SEO
My blog traffic and SEO strategy
Google SEO guide for newbie webmasters
Most often there is a great misconception about SEO and content that go viral. Understanding the meaning of blog SEO, and how to do proper SEO without content that caught readers attention may at the end flop up because your content will not end-up bringing back your blog readers because you think you are a SEO expert meanwhile SEO and content that go viral are two different thing that need to work hand in hand with each other for better result.
There are so many blog that are ranked very high on search engine this day and this is not because those blog authors are SEO expert but their content are great, awesome, captivating, catchy, enjoyable, lovely, and all sort of words that befit good article.
The need to know that only target traffic can make blog content go viral is very important but some catchy approach which bring about target traffic to your website most especially from those that subscribe to our email update, following you on social network like Facebook, Twitter, Google plus and all the like, will always make your content go viral when you share a killer content with your loyal readers, however, below are some notable steps to make your blog post go viral in the absence of blog SEO.
- Write your blog title using technical techniques: coming up with a unique post title/headline is not an easy task which can sometimes cost you a headache but when you have successfully come up with a unique one, you will definitely be very happy with it. Writing a blog post headline can be so stressful many at times but with the clue am going share with you under this sub-heading you will definitely feel at ease when thinking about your blog headline. And this method is what I called “3U’s” (lol) i.e. {Useful, Unique, and ultra.}
Must Read: Are your blog title costing your readers?
Useful: Every blog headline must pass across a message to the expected readers most especially when writing a post headline that has to do with bloggers’ problem like traffic, earning, etc., it must be emotional if you need a very high click, through your blog title/headline.
Unique: Uniqueness in this perspective means to stand out among others. Not just copying from a fellow blogger but think and write from your own instinct as a prolific writer.
Ultra: What people are saying about your content is so vital so also your headline, your blog headline should be able to describe your blog content and not your content alone and that is why it must be ultra-specific.
I believe that with this 3 U’s, you are half done if not fully okay about writing your blog post headlines.
2. Seek for professional help while writing your blog headline: compulsorily, you must write your blog content yourself or hire a ghost writer whichever way you prefer just to make sure it’s free from plagiarisms. Good, you may be a professional writer and might have been using the 3 U’s means of writing your headline but the fact is nobody is a highland of knowledge, when you are confused about your post headline try someone’s knowledge who you think might help just to make your post go viral. When your posts go viral, your blog claim the glory even when juxtaposing it with what Google search engine values.
3. Write content that go viral: If truly you want to forget about SEO, then you content must go a very long way in terms of social sharing to replace the forgotten SEO.
Writing content that go viral is all about formalizing your own idea and make it a killer idea. The below point is a better way forward to write a content that go viral in the absence of SEO.
The approach of writing killer content is what I called “CLIT” {controversial, Trend, List and Inspirational}
Controversial: Yes, your post must often give room for readers’ view either inform of question or debate, just make sure your posts are debateable in order to hear what individual feel about the post most often via the comment section.
Lists: Make a list on some blog community can give a head way for your blog to say goodbye to SEO. Blog community like Bizsugar, blokube, kklink, can help in making your post go viral when you make it into the list often as a result of quality content that warrant more votes from readers.
Inspiration: This is one of the critical parts of my findings. When you are inspired you will acquire. Blogging is the only industry/community that you don’t pray for failure else it may be the end of the road. Spend more time on your blog such as sharing your content, reply your blog comment, visiting social bookmarking site will help to make your blog go viral as it enhance blogger-readers relationship.
Trend: This is always a place to be; knowing what is hot on Google trend will enable you to focus on what people are searching for and this will definitely make your blog go viral without SEO or with poor knowledge of SEO as this will provide a specific keyword for you.
Stop page time: There are hundreds of way out there on how to write content that will go viral without SEO but this is not to tell you that SEO is dead, however, when you are doing the wrong type of blog SEO it may be somehow vague to blogger how SEO works and drained your blog from grace to grass on search engine and this will affect your blog search traffic.

This is a very good piece, Adesanmi. I found it shared on Kingged.com and have to say you really delivered on this one.
Not only did you explain why one should forget SEO and write content that goes viral, but you also went further to illustrate how this should be done.
Even though this is the first time I am reading the CLIT approach (that on its own is controversial, by the way), I agree with you that it can help a content go viral, if done well.
Again, very good piece. It’s worth reading again and again, and taking notes on to implement later!

Its impressive to know that one can actually create content that ignores Google. This could well be a powerful approach for blogging success.
Most bloggers fail because they concentrate creating contents that appeal to the search engines while forgetting that writing for the readers is much more effective.
The steps to making a blog go viral as discussed in this post are very practical. Thanks for sharing this helpful piece, Adesanmi!

Hi Sunday,
Creating content that does not appeal to Google search engine place blogger on the safer side of Google update since bloggers cannot do with Google update, either its affect you positively or negatively Google we surely fulfil their mission in terms of update, however many bloggers fall Google update victim because they fear Google just because of traffic.

Concentrating on content is important as your content is going to give you leads and sales. SEO is just a tool to get your content visible to the world.
As you said,
1. Controversial
2. Inspiration
3. Trend and
4. List posts
usually goes viral. But you can make your post viral if you have solved your readers’ problem.

Hi Adesanmi,
It feels great to be back on your blog! Went through your article and found it a lot useful
First of all, I won’t forget SEO
I mean, I won’t ignore it altogether. But writing content capable of going viral is worth the effort.
Your 3 U strategy is definitely useful. It will come handy time and again. As you said, writing slightly ‘controversial’ stuff will increase the chances of getting a post go viral! Debatable topics are the key.
Great article and excellent points discussed! Will be back for more buddy

Dec 04. 2013
Hi Adesanmi,
As you probably know because I’ve mentioned this numerous times, I never really did very good with my headlines. The “how to” ones were pretty easy and right to the point but I wanted to learn how to grab people’s attention and get them curious about what I’m sharing. It’s funny but I’m able to do that with my newsletter but I had a lot of work to do on my headlines.
I recently wrote a post where I was learning more about writing great headlines and even shared some free resources that would help my readers as well. I think I’ve vastly improved since that time even though it’s maybe been not quite a month yet. But the headlines is what’s going to grab people’s attention and make them decide whether your content is worth reading or not.
Now I’ve heard from several of the very successful bloggers to not worry about anything going viral because that’s usually out of your hands. Sure, if you have a huge following and it’s a topic that is very popular at the moment then you can persuade the right people to promote it and you’ll have a much better chance of that happening. But that’s not the normal circumstances for most so just concentrate more on delivering top quality great content and the rest will fall into place. Or so we hope right!
Thanks for sharing this and you have a wonderful week.

P.S. Just FYI, you still don’t have your Twitter ID set up in your Twitter or Buffer buttons.

You title forced me to not to write even a single line of this article. Content is of no value without proper SEO. I really don’t know what do you understand by SEO. SEO is not link building, directory submission, bookmarking, etc. SEO is much more than that
SEO makes your content/website searchable and user friendly, so don’t underestimate SEO. rather your title should be “Forget SEO Article/ Content: write content that go viral”
