Don’t quit blogging but give it a second thought

Do you know what it takes to give a second thought? This really helped me a lot: I almost quit, and let go off blogging in my agenda but I gave it a second thought, that if others are doing it, I also can do it and I am doing it (Not bragging but motivating)

Before you finally quit blogging for any reason best known to you without having a definite solution, I employ you to read the following point below and give your finally conclusion in the comment section.

Must read: Win-win strategy in blog-o-sphere

  • Information Source
  • Mentor
  • Starting point
  • Blog niche
  • Blogging skills

Have you checked the list properly? No, let go into the real business to broaden our knowledge about the points mentioned above on why you don’t need quit blogging but give a second thought.

Information Source: Yes! You can quit but let me ask this simple question? What is your information source? Many bloggers can answer this simple question correctly while some cannot boldly provide answer to this, many bloggers scrap their blog content from what has been published by some bloggers, many believes in forum question but to be sincere without concrete information source, you will definitely got pissed off while trying to do what you think it’s right meanwhile it’s wrong.

Must read: 8 reasons why you are not getting traffic from search engine

Reason why individual business or blogging strategy is different is the information source. Getting to know the right information source will provide the right topic to write on and you will have a blogging system / pattern.

Mentor: No matter how you start, you must start somewhere. Who is your mentor, who do you choose as a mentor? You don’t have one! Do you have favorite’s blog you love to read, visit and follow it footstep? Definitely, if you choose wrongly you will lack motivation, courage, determination, experience and many more to talk about. Learning from the best blogger before you start your blogging career will not only help you but give you a concrete orientation about blogging, what to know about blogging and what blogging is all about.

Starting Point: Many bloggers started blogging for the sake of making money or having a blogger friend, or read about making money blogging and many more, but blogging is an online form or company where people (bloggers) share ideas online base on their knowledge. If you don’t know how to start, you will start anyhow and you will definitely end anyhow.

Learn how to start, and you will have a definite starting point. Plan before starting and don’t start before planning else you will never have time to start again.

Blog Niche: Choosing wrong blog niche will prompt you to quit. There are many blog niches on the net, starting from personal affair to all other sort of blogging niche is a nice way to start. If you choose wrong niche, you will get sucked and hate blogging. Don’t choose a niche just because a friend chose it and succeeded, you may be bird of a feather that never flocks together.

Understand yourself; discover what you can write on to the fullest with new idea every time you pick up you pen to write a post and start a blog on it can will help you indeed. I have read blog on cooking, fishing, love, friendship, relationship, and many more so also you can do the same so that you can stand out in the multitude.

Writing skills: Nobody is an island of knowledge, not all bloggers are expected to be a prolific writer but an average write, a potential author an epitome of knowledge etc. writing skills may stand the chance why your visitors stopped coming again and this will victimize you to quit due to lack of quality traffic.

Must read: How to write quality content in a competitive niche

Nice post. You have well explained. Many reasons we may have to settle for exit. But as you said niche is important. If our blog posts are few we need to give up. And traffic also, without traffic we feel everything in vain. Writing skills can be improved post by post. Thanks for this post.

    Hello Ade
“change the type of friend that crippled your writing and spoken English if really you want to write an article that worth reading” The point really got me. An Eagle will soon become a fowl if it continues to mingle with a fowl. It might even forget how to soar. The point is this; your association matters alot in as much as your talents. Talents can be destroyed by wrong association and it can as well reach high potentials from good association.

The desire to remain in blogging is harder than pulling off entirely. Blogging was once done with mediocrity, but the tides have change. With all the algorithm updates, the difficulty in scarping contents due to DCMA and lack of ideas can make one quit. This is where serious bloggers are differentiated from money bloggers. Once there is passion, the driving force would always be there. In as much as there is a driving force, the right mindset has to be created.

I like your second point. Having a mentor is vital for success. Having a mentor is one, and following instructions is another thing. With pride, it’s really difficult to listen to what they have to say. Reading the words; dedication, passion and commitment can really be annoying but the words Earn! Earn!! and Earn!!! is what the majority want to hear. Blogging doesn’t work that way. It is a global office and one must treat it the way a physical office is handled.

Thanks for this tip and I hope anyone deciding to pull the plug can gain from this.

    Hi Adesanmi,

Really motivating. Honestly I am almost quit my blog due to the lack of time. But once I saw my written plan, I just remember that my blog is my investment. I just think I can’t quit now, not yet.

Sometimes recording our journey is a great motivator when hard time comes to our path. In your case I am always take second thought

    Hi bro,
I have seen this post quite a while ago but never had the courage to click on it since I was ashamed. I had earlier planned selling my blog due to one or two reasons best known to me. But with time and upon a second thought, my blog is indeed worth keeping!
