Blog is now common like the sound we used to sing when we were very small “Twinkle (2) little star, how I wonder what you are, up above the world so high, like a diamond in the sky”. Then it was like a song which was the best and was our favourite amongst other, and so also is blog and blogging today. There is one thing I believe and observed, is either you make blog/blogging you intimate friend or worst dream/nightmare.
If however used properly, blog can have enough benefit but mark you, it is really addictive. Am really saying, if you are a part-time blogger, you need to learn how to run things else it may affect your mean business (offline job).
So, to make it work smoothly for you, here are the ultimate five tips to get things going but before that note that blogging/blog is not a new phase that is what have been in existence before now but the way it sky-rocketing everywhere this day is amazing and almost uncontrollable. Improving your blog may need to follow these point below.
1. Submit you blog to reputable blog directory: Already there is a traditional blog directory submissions you are likely to make with any website or blog, most of those directories requires you to link back to their source. But this can be handled in two proper ways which are:
i. Create page link/resources and add the link using the HTML in your page menu else it may not properly functions or counts.
ii. You can decide to add the link to your blog main page.
Do have in mind that blog directory are majorly for human so that they may be able to confirm your link as well as your blog content and it may take a while
2. Blog categories: It’s wise and advisable to manage categories in blog so that all related topic can be put together in a place. For instance, if your blog is all about “TECHNOLOGY”, then you should be able to have different kinds of categories like mobile, gadget, computer and all the like. And it’s not always possible to have all blog post in the same category so, don’t be so in a hurry and started overlapping everything together else your blog will be valueless by you readers.
3. Content:Quality content is a must, and writing quality content is not that easy. Now how do you get quality content for your blog without going against publishers or author privacy? Quality content idea can be gotten through reading other bloggers blog that are related to your niche, reading books, asking questions, and having cordial relationship with your blog comment. Through these medium, you will definitely have an idea of what to write about always and that is what I regard to as research from my own end. And you can also try EzineArticles for related post but if you must copy and paste make sure you link back.
4. Blog template/design:Most of blog templates are design by an expert using CSS which is one of the best tools for website/template designing. All blogger cannot be CSS professional but they can try to learn little HTML so that they can effect some change on their blog design to make it look more professional so that they will as well be able to customize it to some level that will suit them to make their blog look more decent.
5. Call to action:This is very important also, there should be author-reader interaction in your blog such as you contact form to hear or receive any opinion from your readers outside comment inform of private conversation between you and the sender to really facilitate some blogging relationship.
