Blogging is full of negative experience

Blogging is full of negative experience

Blogging is full of negative experience for newbies, YES / NO? Life is a stage that is full of challenges, ups and downs, smooth and sloppy, slow and steady, joy and happiness; blogging can be frustrated at times for newbies most especially, base on their negative experiences or what their experiences are in the communityof  thousands mind agitating to be the best but never can be the best? Anyway, write that somewhere and share your negative experience with us in the comment box.

When I started blogging early 2012 (February), I have many goals in my heart but those goals are not definite and because can’t be achieved with the little knowledge I had as far back then, but learning and the act of learning is what inspired many bloggers who wanted to succeed in get things going/done in the rightful way. In this post, I’m going to share with you my experience on how I almost became a failure in blog-o-sphere to the extent of moving out the community, quitting per-say. Below are some of the experiences I had which I believe it is peculiar to almost all newbie bloggers who started blogging may be because of the initiation from friends, what s/he read online or with the notion of making money online.

1. Traffic: Oh! This was like nightmare to me, a journey of no return, just like blowing air into the wind, a wave tossed in the ocean, a vapour in the, an unrealistic dream, just like a coin tossed in an ocean and many negative things that are not realistic. I kept panting about this and I could not help: this almost gave me a red card in blog-o-sphere but good thing does not come easy I concluded. I published my blog post every day because I think this will help to increase my blog traffic but all to no avail and I finally discovered QUANTITY POST = QUANTITY TRAFFIC with good strategy of promoting blog post.

2. No comment: This is the law of gravitation force! What goes up must come down (summary) as far as it does not exceed the radius of the earth and all can be seen at times as tit for tat (Do to others what you want others to do unto you). I always expect people to leave a comment on my blog but I don’t care about leaving a comment on theirs then. No wonder I had little traffic and no backlink at all, yet I want to rank high in search engine page or let me say I want numerous number of comment. Lol, it doesn’t come that way ADEDOTUN!

3. Template editing: I must confess, this really wasted my money, I once paid 3k ($ 18.75) to an online friend for my blog template editing and after the whole scenario, he only uploaded the theme (Not premium) and added my Facebook and twitter fan page and that was all what my $18.75 did. Though, it wasn’t painful but an experience. And I believe in one way or the other many bloggers have the same experience with me.

Conclusion: Although there are lots but these teaches me a lot in blog-o-sphere and I can tell you, many newbie fall for this as well and they called it negative experience but experience is a great teacher and sometimes best way to learn. And now the question is : Is Blogging full of negative experience for newbies, YES / NO?

  2. It’s never easy at the beginig, just Like you said Good Things Don’t Come easy. After Spending Four Months a s a blogger, I know what I’ve been through and to add to your list I also had web hosting issues.

The Good thing is; now I know much better, and I’m more stable although with four months I’m still a newbie :D

  5. it’s nice to comment on commentators blogs, this is the reason behind most blogs getting higher comments than others and this is also the reason why many blogs get higher visits

  7. Totally agree with you, just because you post content does not mean you will get traffic. You have to go out there and promote your content. If you don’t promote it, how do you expect anyone to find it.

Your blog seems to be getting a lot of traffic…great job.

  9. “Experience is a great teacher and sometimes best way to learn” That’s the best lesson anybody should ever learn.

Blogging is dreamed as 1,2,3 at first, then realized it is an impossible job. Most fly away at this stage. If somebody stays longer, experience is a great teacher. When they learn and cross this stage, they’ll start enjoying blogging!

  10. Hey Adesanmi…
Its just a month that i have started blogging…and as you said drawing traffic is a matter of real concern…
Am almost isolated from the rest of the world…spending maximum time in promoting my blog…and trust me it sucks!!!
Though I got some positive responses when some people commented back on my blog as a response to my comment on theirs…and that’s what is diving me on even after a lot of negative responses!!!
I totally agree with you that negative experiences are the best teachers….:)
    Thanks for the post…

    • Hi Debasmita,

Driving quality traffic to our blog is not all that easy most especially from organic search engine, it is a gradual process that need some reasonable time to take effect. Although there are many way to drive traffic to our blog for a start but some of the best way of doing this is through social media, guest blogging, blog comment, and participating in online community. Thanks for this comment.
