ABC theory of blog motivation

ABCBlogging without motivation will end up with tragedy and will bring about the determination to quit blogging. The ABC theory of blog motivation is a very powerful tool that needs to be understood, how it works, what it works for, and how it can be of help in our blogging career so that blogging will be the easiest thing to understand. In this theory of blog, A, B, and C motivational tools, I came out with the following points.

1. A represent a state of felt dissatisfaction: This can be view from the fact that every blogger is not satisfied with his or her current blog situation or condition, ranging from traffic, earning, comments etc. This is real if you really bloggers want to move their blogs from one level to another! And this is the more reason why I regarded all bloggers as an Oliver-twist (never satisfy), they need more visitors, more comment, more page viewers and they tend to write more quality content because they never satisfied with their blog present condition despite it has a beta Alex-rank and Google page rank.

2. B represent the product, service, idea, innovation, action and activities that are needed to persuade more visitors: Why do you ping your blog content or share your latest post on Social network or use site directory and as well making use of blog bookmaking site, to advertise your blog right!? To engage more readers in our blog so as to lessen the spirit of dissatisfaction and make money or more clicks on your Ads so, some move must be taken to bring about your product, service or your blog idea engagement with both the readers and the search engine activities on our blog.

3. C represent state of great satisfaction: Getting to this state is very hard and not easy at all (Laws of diminishing return often set in at this point because of competition) but if blogger can eventually mounted to this level, the issue of dissatisfaction and loring people to engage in his/her blog either to leave a comment, or to increase his/her blog page view or search engine Unique visitors will be reduced and this will happen naturally.

Imagine a blogger with five thousand daily unique visitors with 75% from search engine (Google) definitely the issue of dissatisfaction will not be on your blog but on how to meet a certain target on income. People like Matt Cutt, John Chow and many others are in this category and that is what many bloggers are dreaming about.

Conclusion: Making use of the theory, you will be able to do what you could not do in the absence of influence if the gaps between the ABC’s are very limited.

  2. Bro i must say you are talking to me in particular. I nearly quit my one month blog last week when the traffic wasn’t coming but one thing kept me ant that is ”mission accomplished is mission envision”. It always make me to have a clear view of what my blog would have become in a year time. If only new bloggers can have this mentality, they would certainly go far.

    • Hi James,

Lol, I just have to tell you that quitter never win and winner never quit bro, don’t have to quit; blogging is interesting but bloggng for money will prompt you to quit but blogging for passion will bring the best out of you, and concerning the issue of traffic; traffic doesn’t just come, it doesn’t come overnight, but blog traffic comes gradually depending on your keyword and understanding how blog SEO works.

  3. Hi, Adesanmi,

Nice article. Motivation is a deciding factor in blogging, when it is lost, it is nearly impossible to recover. One of the mistakes of Bloggers is not really passion or motivation. They simply have ignored the vital aspect of blogging. Theses days blogging is an extension of one’s voice online and as such you will have to protect it and write like you are talking to humans.

I know when a blog post is written without the heart, like a newspaper. These may have worked in the past, but not anymore. As you grow your readers, you must also treat them like kings. Some bloggers don’t want to accept errors because they feel they wrote an article and have the sole knowledge of it, but knowledge itself can’t be localized.

hmmm, I thought I was writing a blog post, it’s a comment tho. lol. I end here, again nice read.

    Have a great day.

    • Hi Prince Nosa,

I am indeed glad to have your comment here on adetechblog, this article refereed me back to those day when I was in my NYSC (NATIONAL YOUTH SERVICE CAMP) orientation camp, when the security men would asked us; “ARE YOU MOTIVATED” and our responds will be “MOTIVATED! MOTIVATED!! MOTIVATED!!!” and this is to tell them we are ready for any para-military activities which is one of the main purpose of the orientation camp and we’ll all felt happy because of the event at hand and this is to show how happy it’s to be motivated about what we love doing. Good things does not come overnight but with time, determinate, perseverance and motivation to crown it all we can rise to any length in blog-o-sphere.

  5. Hi Adesanmi,
I think without motivation you can’t do any thing especially blogging where you have to sit in place for 18 hours continuously then this is the motivation factor that is asking to sit more and more. You have well explain the theory of motivation and when I read the title, I become really curious to read what is inside it. You are right that bloggers are not satisfied from their current blog progress and want more and more. It’s motivation that persuade them to do more and achieve more.

    • Hi Saleem,

This is exactly what I did for now, though am a part-time blogger but currently on holiday and I can’t just imagine myself spending almost exactly that hour writing my blog post, reading other blogs article, leave comment, and at the same time think of guest post but all these attributed to the fact that I found motivation in blogging.
